Salami Pizza Toasts

Ingredients

  • MEAT
  • ½ lb Eckrich Deli Hard Salami, sliced thick
 
  • PRODUCE
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
 
  • DAIRY
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 handfuls of mozzarella, shredded
 
  • PANTRY
  • 1 large loaf Italian bread, about 14 inches long
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ teaspoon oregano

Preparation

  1. PREHEAT: Oven to 425°
  2. CUT: Loaf in half horizontally and then crosswise to 2-inch pieces.
  3. STIR TOGETHER: Butter, garlic and half of the oregano.
  4. SPREAD: Butter mixture onto bread pieces and place onto sheet pan.
  5. BAKE: Until lightly toasted (8-10 minutes).
  6. TOP: Toasted bread with pizza sauce, mozzarella, salami and remaining oregano.
  7. BAKE: Until cheese has melted (10-12 minutes).
  8. TRY: Not to cram a handful of these tasty pizza bites in your mouth at once.
