Sausage Pasta Skillet

  • MEAT
  • 1 (10-14oz) package Eckrich® Smoked Sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup fresh corn kernels
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1⁄2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1⁄4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound short dried pasta, such as orecchiette, penne, or shells
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more for serving


  1. HEAT olive oil in a large skillet set over medium-high heat. Add sausage, onion, garlic and corn, and cook until sausage begins to brown and vegetables begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
  2. ADD pasta, heavy cream, chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine, and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue simmering for 8-12 minutes, until pasta is cooked al dente.
  3. STIR IN mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  4. GARNISH with fresh basil and black pepper and serve immediately.
