Ingredients

  • 1 regular size package Eckrich® Smoked Sausage (10oz-14oz)
  • 1 Package Mac n' Cheese
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound of  Fresh Collard Greens
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup panko or coarse dry bread crumbs (for the topping)

Preparation

Savory Smoked Sausage, creamy mac and cheese and delicious collard greens adds a twist on a soul food classic that your whole family is sure to love.

  1. Prepare pre-packaged Mac and Cheese, according to the directions on package.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  3. Cut sausage into ½-inch slices.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté collard greens and smoked sausage in skillet, and stirring frequently until cooked through.
  5. Combine smoked sausage, collard greens and Mac and cheese in a greased baking dish, top with bread crumbs.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the bread crumb topping is lightly golden.
